Rounding the Curb to win the Sack Race

Grammatically challenged cockney Alan Curbishley has become the first managerial casualty of the new Premier League season. In spite of West Ham’s best start to a league campaign in 9 years, trouble has been brewing owing to the board’s reluctance to allow him a greater role in the club’s transfer activities. Curbs has resigned stating 'a breach in trust and confidence'. The board have cited Freddie Lyungberg, Lee Bowyer, Jonathan Spector, Keiron Dyer, Julien Faubert and Nigel Quashie in their defense.
