It is an amazing statistic that Celtic have taken only 1 point out of a possible 48 on their travels in the Champions League.
It is also amazing that they have, more than once, qualified for the knock-out rounds. The reason why, I heard from one Celtic player yesterday, is that they are used to having more possession when they play against clubs north of the border.
He was basically saying that the majority of games are not really very competitive. You have to agree with the man. Also though, when you look at the Celtic team sheet, it doesn't send shivers through much of their european opposition.
Celtic's structure (big ground, loyal fans) is to be envied but their inherant lack of competition mean that they will continue to struggle on this stage.
Third place and the UEFA cup? Not if they lose in Denmark.
