Michael Standing
Arriving at Aston Villa, along with Gareth Barry, in 1998, Standing was seen as the pick of the 2 youngsters. 4 years and no appearances later he left for Bradford. Today, Standing plies his trade for non-league Lewes. Unconfirmed reports linked him with Anfield this summer.
Titus Bramble
At 14, the Ipswich youngster cut an imposing figure. Un-ironically touted as the next big thing, the young colossus stood 6ft 2ins tall and weighed 13 stone. He was utilized all over the pitch, breaking youth-team scoring records. Unfortunately, Titus peaked at 14.
